Major General Bradley D. Spacy
Maj. Gen. Bradley D. Spacy serves as Commander, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. He leads an intermediate-level headquarters responsible for providing installation and mission support capabilities to 77 Air Force installations, nine major commands and two direct reporting units with an annual budget of approximately $10 billion. One of six centers assigned to Air Force Materiel Command, the unit’s cross-functional team integrates security forces, civil engineering, base communications, logistics readiness, installation ministry programs, services, operational acquisition and financial management across 10 detachments and six primary subordinate units. Those units are the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Air Force Financial Services Center, Air Force Financial Management Center of Expertise, Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, Air Force Security Forces Center and Air Force Services Activity.
General Spacy is a 1987 ROTC distinguished graduate from Fresno State University in Fresno, Calif. General Spacy has commanded a security forces squadron and The United States Air Force Honor Guard. As the Director of Force Protection for U.S. Central Command Air Forces Forward during Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom, General Spacy created, planned and participated in Operation DESERT SAFESIDE/Task Force 1041, an offensive ground combat operation to kill or capture insurgent forces in Iraq. General Spacy is a graduated Mission Support Group and two-time Wing Commander. He commanded the 375th Mission Support Group, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., 88th Air Base Wing, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and 81st Training Wing, Keesler AFB, Miss. General Spacy served as the Chief, Senate Liaison Office, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for congressional legislative affairs in the U.S. Senate, articulating Air Force priorities and programs to senators and staff members. General Spacy also served as the Director of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Prior to his current assignment, General Spacy served as the AFIMSC Director of Expeditionary Support. In that role, he and his team were responsible for delivering worldwide expeditionary installation and mission support capabilities to customers at the headquarters, major command and installation levels.
